Guelph Civic League (GCL) is a collaborative network of citizen-led
organizations working towards a better Guelph.
The GCL is committed to keeping citizens informed and working with residents, city staff, council and other stakeholders within a local democracy that is participatory, transparent and accountable.
The Guelph Civic League will:
* Support initiatives to improve the quality of life in our city.
* Encourage the formation of citizen-led groups and support their efforts.
* Help protect and enhance our natural and cultural heritage and identity.
* Build capacity for the participation of citizens in community and civic issues.
* Promote dialogue between citizens, organizations, and local government to advance a collaborative vision.
* Provide information and workshops on community and civic issues.
* Represent and support the common interests of Guelph residents and member organizations.
